Lincoln Memorial University is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Campus Dean for the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) at the Knoxville Campus. The Campus Dean (Campus Authority) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Knoxville location and serves as a senior academic leader supporting the mission, goals, and objectives of LMU-DCOM.
Structure and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Dean and Chief Academic Officer, the Campus Dean provides oversight of academic programs, personnel, and operations at the Knoxville Campus. This position serves as a member of the Deans Council and collaborates closely with the senior leadership team, Associate Deans, Assistant Deans, faculty, and staff to ensure communication, coordination, and alignment with institutional initiatives. The Campus Dean must be an osteopathic physician with demonstrated academic leadership experience at the level of Associate Dean or higher.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a commitment to excellence in osteopathic medical education, student success, and faculty development. The successful candidate will possess proven skills in team building, culture development, educational design, scholarly activity, and program management.
Required Qualifications
- Earned DO degree from a COCA-accredited college of osteopathic medicine
- Unrestricted medical license, free of disciplinary actions or sanctions while licensed
- AOA or ABMS board certification at some time in career
- Demonstrated experience in academic leadership
- Proven record of success in teaching, team building, and educational design and evaluation
