Description
The University of South Alabama (USA) Health System is seeking an innovative and collaborative Division Chief of Interventional Radiology to lead and grow a dynamic academic IR program serving the Gulf Coast region. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a comprehensive, system-managed IR service line that spans three hospitals and multiple outpatient centers across coastal Alabama.
We are developing a system-managed IR service line that unites our hospitals and outpatient centers under one coordinated vision. The program integrates interventional oncology, advanced vascular, hepatobiliary, and image-guided procedures, serving both an academic and regional referral population.
The successful candidate will work closely with departmental and health-system leadership to:
- Define standards of practice and clinical pathways
- Build subspecialty programs across the system
- Strengthen our teaching and research missions within the USA College of Medicine

Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. with Board Certification in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Alabama
- Active Authorized User (AU) status for Y-90 and related nuclear medicine procedures
- Demonstrated leadership and academic experience
- Commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and mentorship
